			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are certain reasons why your face goes red at certain times. There are myths behind what happens, and then there is the scientific truth. We will go over several reason why blushing, or the reddening of your face usually isn’t caused from being embarrassed.</p>
<p>One myth that people associate with red cheeks is that the redness is caused because you were embarrassed in some way, or that you have over done yourself in one way or another. But this is so untrue. The reddening to your cheeks is not from being embarrassed. Well it is partly, but being embarrassed is not the exact reason why your cheeks turn red. There is a more scientific reasoning behind the blushing or the redness in your face.</p>
<p>The reason that you get that redness to your face, especially when you are angry, embarrassed, or if you over worked yourself is because of your body excreting some adrenaline into your system. The bit of adrenaline that was put into your body during the instances that was mentioned above causes your heart beat to begin to beat a little bit faster. This in turn causes the blood vessels in your face to enlarge, and hence your face becomes increasingly red.</p>
<p>The adrenaline can also affect other places on your body when the adrenaline is secreted such as your legs, your arms, and even your stomach. Basically, the more blood that is pumped to your face the redder your face gets. This effect is easily found, and is more noticeable on people with fairer skin. What you take for granted with blushing is actually that the adrenaline is running through your system, and speeding up your heart.</p>
<p>When your face turns red during exercise it&#8217;s a totally different situation going on. While you exercise your body has to control the temperature of your body while becuase it rises up quite a bit, so much so that your body has to fight back against that. After exercise your body will divert blood away from the core of your body to the skin of your body where the heat can find a way out. Since your face has numerous capillaries it decidedly turns redder then the other parts of your body. But in essence several places on your body do turn red in order to get rid of the heat you have from exercising.</p>
<p>There are several instances where you can’t help if your face turns red it is just genetic, such as drinking. Turning red while you drink is also known as the Alcohol Flush Reaction. That basically means that the body cannot break down alcohol completely.</p>
<p>Now you know some of the reasons why your face goes red at the worst of times. We have learned about adrenaline being released into your system causing your heart to beat faster, and cause your face to go red. We have learned that your body can turn red when you over exert yourself your body, it will react by taking that heat and bringing it to the skin where the heat can escape. Either way your body creates the redness that appears on your face, and you can’t help it when it appears, and when it goes away; your body controls that for you.</p>
<p>So don’t be embarrassed the next time that your face goes red. Tell them it’s only a bodily reaction that you are having, and it doesn’t mean that you are embarrassed about anything, or even mad. So brace yourself when that time comes; you know that it is only a rush of adrenaline going into your system so take advantage of it and don&#8217;t feel embarrassed!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Many of you who, either are going on a further trip, or just want to know what vaccinations they have and the vaccinations they didn’t have. Or in case you want to know your husbands or wife’s, or your kids.</p>
<p>Vaccinations are basically shots you receive which help you to fight off a certain sickness or illness. They do this on some of the vaccinations by actually putting a small dose of the illness or sickness into the vaccine. By only injecting you with a very small dose your body will fight it, and develop immunity to that disease, or illness. You take a vaccination because you want to take precautions against contracting the disease that you got the vaccination for. To be immunized from a certain illness you have to receive the vaccination.</p>
<p>Numerous people wonder how they can find there own old immunization records. Unfortunately there is no place where there is an available national record of your immunizations, or anyone else’s. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t find your old vaccination records.</p>
<p>Now we will go over some tips to find your child’s immunization records, and then we will go over how to find your immunization records.</p>
<p>One of the tips I can give you on trying to find your child’s immunization records is to ask with all of there previous health care providers. Most of them should be able to give you the records, if they still have them that is, of the vaccines that they have given your child during the time that they were your child’s care providers. Also you cannot forget to go to your local public health department, or even your neighborhood clinic. Go and talk to wherever you have had your child go to for health care.</p>
<p>Another tip I can give you, although it seems obvious, is to look through your old records. You can even have copies of your child’s immunizations in one of there old baby books, you never know. Even if you don’t find your child’s immunizations in your old record I am sure you will find some of the information on some of there old health care providers.</p>
<p>Sometimes the schools that you child will go to will have a record of the child’s immunizations on record. It is a state law, plus the schools like to know this information as well. There might have been certain vaccinations that your child might have received at school. So, if you need an updated version you might want to check your child’s school records.</p>
<p>There are some reasons that you might want to know your child’s school records, and that is so you know what vaccinations they need. Your teenager might need certain<br />
Vaccinations before they head off to college.</p>
<p>Now we will go over a couple tips on how to find your immunization records.</p>
<p>One tip would be that you should ask your parents, or one of your early care givers if they have any of your immunization records still in there possession. They will most likely give you your childhood immunizations if they still have them.</p>
<p>Look through any papers that you have from your childhood. If you have your own baby book then it may be located in there. It doesn’t hurt to look through them.</p>
<p>Another tip would be to ask your high school, your college health service, or even your job if they have your immunization records. Some of them may still have them on record, and it wouldn’t be too much of a hassle.</p>
<p>You must know that it is not impossible to find your vaccination records. Although it might mean that you have to do a little hunting, especially for your childhood vaccination records. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everybody knows that lifting weights builds muscle and cardio burns fat… or does it? This old cliché is only a part-truth. Yes, lifting weights builds muscle, but it also helps with fat loss. Yes, cardio burns fat, but it also burns muscle. Let me explain.</p>
<p>I know that if your goal is fat loss, you’ll probably avoid the weights, or at least not give them the attention they deserve, and that would be a terrible mistake. Interestingly enough, lifting weights (or for that matter, any form of resistance training, whether you’re lifting sacks of potatoes, your own body weight or pulling on elastic bands) is more important for fat loss than cardio. Why? Because lifting weights builds muscle, or at least maintains muscle while you’re on a diet. It’s extremely important to hold on to the muscle that you have because muscle really speeds up the metabolism. Each pound of muscle you have burns about 13 calories per day. Not a lot, but imagine building an additional 10 pounds of muscle. Now you’re burning an extra 130 calories per day.</p>
<p>The other reason that you want to hold on to muscle as much as possible is because muscle greatly helps with the regulation of your blood sugar. Both sugar and fat are burned inside muscle. Sugar isn’t burned in the blood, and fat isn’t burned inside the fat cell. If you want to prevent diabetes or problems with insulin as you’re losing body fat, you better hold on to your precious muscle.</p>
<p>And of course, you want to hold on to your muscle because it makes you look good (yes, even the ladies). Have you ever seen people lose significant amounts of weight, yet they look worse than before? Their body still has the same shape, just a smaller size. Or, put differently, they’re smaller, but they still look “soft.” That usually happens because in addition to losing fat, that person lost a good chunk of muscle along with it.</p>
<p>So hopefully you understand that lifting weights is tremendously important for fat loss and general health, but how do you do it?</p>
<p>First and foremost, select 4-6 exercises that use a lot of muscles at the same time. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, pushups, overhead presses, and pull-downs or rows are good choices. Then, perform them for 10-15 repetitions. The key is selecting a weight that is challenging. Most people let themselves off the hook too easily. You have to find a weight that you can do no more than 15 times. If you can do it 16 times, it’s too light. Just make sure that you are performing the exercises with the right technique, or else you risk getting injured. If you work with a qualified professional, they’ll be able to help you select the right exercises, and show you the correct technique.</p>
<p>So what did we learn today? Lift weights to lose fat.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a gas that is colourless, odourless, and tasteless.  CO is a by-product of burning fuel and it is an extremely poisonous gas. CO poisoning suffocates a person from within by stopping the blood from absorbing oxygen. If someone is exposed to high levels of CO, the result can be brain damage or death. Any home device that produces carbon monoxide should be monitored by a carbon monoxide detector. This includes Natural Gas Water Heaters. </p>
<p>Exposure to CO can cause flu-like symptoms that can include: nausea, headaches, burning eyes, dizziness, confusion, unconsciousness, loss of coordination, and drowsiness or fatigue. Signs of high levels of CO in the home include: natural gas flames that are yellow instead of blue, furnace pilot light or a pilot light of any other natural gas-fired device will not stay lit, accumulation of soot around exhaust vents, when the furnace is turned on there is a natural gas smell or sharp odour, stale air, white chalky powder on a exhaust vent pipe, and the carbon monoxide alarm sounds for no apparent reason or cause, such as the build up of humidity. </p>
<p>When there is carbon monoxide detected in the home, carbon monoxide detectors will sound an alarm. These detectors should be placed in locations where they will be able to detect the CO fumes. Because air is heavier than carbon monoxide, the CO will rise. For this reason, many experts recommend putting the detector five feet above the floor. As well, if you have a natural gas water heater, it will have gas vents. This makes carbon monoxide detectors vital in the event that the vent becomes blocked.  Install at least one carbon monoxide detector outside upstairs bedrooms. </p>
<p>When you change your clocks in October and May, change the batteries. You can buy carbon monoxide detectors at department, plumbing supply, and hardware stores. It is important to follow the manufacturers’ instructions when installing and testing the device. If your carbon monoxide detector alarm does go off, open the windows and doors to let the fresh air in and immediately leave the home and call 911.</p>
<p>Natural gas devices that are properly installed and maintained should not release CO. Preventing CO exposure includes: getting your natural gas devices inspected annually, making sure your natural gas water heater&#8217;s openings are clear, keeping your furnace fan compartment doors closed and the panels in place, and adding extra ventilation if you have blocked-in your natural gas hot water heater.</p>
<p>Natural gas, wood, gasoline, coal, heating oil, propane, diesel fuel, and kerosene, can all produce CO. If someone has symptoms of CO poisoning, take them out of the home and call 911. When you have well-maintained equipment and plenty of fresh air, CO should not be a problem. Because carbon monoxide is such a toxic gas, it is important to take the appropriate measures to protect your family and pets. The best safety plan is to properly maintain your natural gas water heater which includes yearly inspections by a professional such as a licensed plumber. You will sleep better knowing everyone in your home is safe. </p>
